Job Advertisement - Post of Parish Admin Assistant

The parishes of St Teresa of Lisieux, St Hugh of Lincoln, and St Thomas More wish to appoint on a part-time basis, a Parish Assistant to undertake certain administrative duties across the three parishes. These duties will comprise a mix of clerical, administrative, secretarial and accounting tasks, the full details of which along with an application form are available from st.teresa.aspley@outlook.com 

The hours required will be 10 hours per week worked flexibly over 2 days Monday and Friday. Occasional attendance at evening meetings will be required and the rate of pay £10.00 per hour. 

It is anticipated that the post will be effective from July/August 2021 

Core skills required will include 

  • Good I.T. skills, including word processing, use of databases and spreadsheets, mail shots, use of the internet and emails.
  • Confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of basic book-keeping.
  • Facility to liaise appropriately with various groups and committees within the parishes, deanery and at diocesan level.
  • Work on your own initiative as appropriate. 
  • To act with a professional manner at all times.
  • To be able to drive and to have the use of a car.
  • To have a clean driving licence and relevant insurance

Application will be by a signed and completed application form. Selection will be by interview and be subject to the receipt of appropriate references. It must be submitted to the Moderator at 8, Kingsbury Dr. Aspley, Nottingham. NG8 3EP by Friday 25 June 2021

 

The Current Lockdown times for Mass

Saturday 5.00pm St Thomas More and 6.30pm St Teresa.

Sunday 9.30am St Hugh and 11.00am St Teresa.

Sunday Mass will continue to be live-streamed via this page on Facebook at 11.00 am

A seat can be booked using the Diocesan booking system available at: www.massbooking.uk You will need to create an account; once that is up and running you can book your place at Mass. The Masses are bookable on a 7-day cycle. If you are not online please ring the central telephone number: 07395 614050 on Monday between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm You will not be allowed to enter unless you have booked a seat. Social distancing is set at 2 metres, so please observe this as you arrive and leave the Church. Wearing a face covering to protect yourself and others is now mandatory unless you have an exemption on grounds of age or health. You will be guided throughout by a steward. so please follow the steward’s instructions
